BIR: Tax for Online Traders. - Stupidity Lvl: Over 9999
It's been a while since I've posted any updates on my blog. Believe me, I've been busy doing Gunpla (and videogames too). I was busy browsing and gathering information about plastic modeling when I landed on GundamPH's site and the article about "Online Private Sellers – Obliged To Pay Taxes Says BIR".
According to the source:
"Online Traders beware: The taxman cometh"
MANILA – Online traders and entrepreneurs beware, as the Bureau of Internal Revenue this year will start going after those who fail to issue electronic invoices to customers.
Commissioner Kim Jacinto-Henares told reporters that online businesses – such as sulit.com.ph, e-bay Philippines, alibaba.com, ayosdito.ph and multiply.com - would have to be registered with the BIR.
"These businesses shall be registered to us, and that they should be paying the corresponding taxes. Otherwise, we will run after them," Jacinto-Henares said.
"This plan will push through hopefully within the year. Under the rules, online sellers shall be registered as such to the BIR, and that their electronic invoicing shall likewise be registered either directly to us or a third-party accredited by us," the BIR chief said.
"The electronic invoicing could be availed of through a third party, but such third-party shall be accredited by the BIR. Meaning, private parties could participate and get the necessary accreditation from us," she added.
Well...what can I say about this?

Sneaking Mission: ToyCon 2012

It was a Rainy Sunday morning. I was planning on sleeping all day long when I remembered that this day was the last day of the 2012 Toy convention. I immediately decided to sneak in with a few objectives in mind - hoard a couple of Gundams, take some pictures, celebrate Father's day (technically I'm not yet a father), get relaxed and have fun. I think I was able to achieve all that.

I also think that's a very interesting build! So Cute! I also think this build won a prize from a recently concluded Gunpla Builders World Cup 2011.

Sneaking Mission: 9th IPMS Philippines Bert Anido National Scale Model Competition
The 9th IPMS Philippines Bert Anido National Scale Model Competition took place last October 17 – 21, 2011 at the Activity Center of Bldg. A, SM Megamall, in Mandaluyong City.
I went last week on a sneaking mission to see some of the masterpieces modeled by our fellow Filipino Plastic modelers. I didn't bring any proper camera., yet I was able to take some photos using my phone.

The Exciting Zaku Group Build is here!
Calling all fellow Gunpla hobbyists, here's something to look forward to.
The Zaku Group Build!
It will be a friendly competition that will showcase different talents and skills from different Gunpla modelers out there focusing mainly on none other than THE ZAKU! The Group Build will run from December 1, 2011 to May 31, 2012.
I will definitely join this GB.
