"Feeling lucky, punk? "
I've been wanting this kit...so bad!
No, it's not a scale model... It's just a toy...already assembled with the classic transformation you can't easily (safely) pull off with the Gundam. It also has some sound effects like.. "...Ironhide here... *machine sound*).
Ever-since the Transformers movie was released, I've been longing to find an Ironhide toy... I like Ironhide. He's a weapons-specialist and he's cool.
I saw one at the nearest toy store yet I'm not totally enrolled with the price. For that freakin' amount I could get 2 Gundam Master Grades.
Last Sunday was my lucky day. I went out to see the Toy Convention and Die Cast exhibit at Megatrade Hall 1 sometime in the afternoon. I saw a lot of people in costumes, lots of toys...and lots of girls. I was too busy browsing around and didn't manage to grab my camera.
I was looking for some cool toys to play with. (This is me, being possessed by my childhood spirit).
Primarily, I was looking for Gundam model kits. There was a shop called Wasabi Toys and they got a few kits. I took a cheaper HG 1/144 0 Gundam and nearby was a shop selling Transformers toys!
I found Ironhide for almost half the original price. Lucky day indeed.
I immediately settled the toy and went home. I studied the mechanism and the overall kit and I was impressed. At the back of my mind was a plan for a re-paint...but that will wait.
Anyways, here are some photos of Ironhide in Topkick mode. No photos for the mecha version. :-P
(...I'm out!)
